Hi. Yes another newbie.

I sail in the Bristol Channel with an old wooden boat called jacinta
I am pleased to say I have arrived at this point and still have some hair.
My next task is to search the Forum to find how to open and use the program.
If at this point you feel able to offer help/advice please feel free.
I hope that in time I may be able to  recipricate. Fred.

Fred,

Welcome to OpenSeaMap! What exactly do you mean by "open and use the program"? I take it that you have found the on-line map at http://map.openseamap.org.

Regards,
Malcolm

Re: Hi. Yes another newbie.

I am trying to usea tablet as a on board chart plotter.
I have joined Visit my harbour.
purchased visit ,y harbour chart pack.
purchased a GPS dongle.
Installed and downloaded, purchased Marine Navigator, all I can achieve with this is a world map I cannot open.
My computer knowledge is limited and with all of these parts all I have, when I put them together I still have just parts I would love a system. Fred
