Re: OpenCPN

Hi Henk,

you will find rather old charts here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/opennau … therlands/

Alternative kap-chart-generation service is in progess: http://wiki.openseamap.org/wiki/OpenSea … rt-Bundler (sorry, german only)

In case, you do not mind some work, this might be usefull: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/KAP- … _erstellen

Have a nice day, Dirk

Re: OpenCPN

As I wrote on the mailing list:

Good afternoon

I urgently need maps of the Magellan Strait, principally eastern part. I need them in BSB or ENC format that can be opened with OpenCPN, or as a Garmin MAPI format to open with Garmin HomePort for Mac. The details I need are navigational marks and offshore installations.

I have official Argentinian maps downloaded from http://www.hidro.gob.ar/cartas/cartasnauticas.asp but they cover only this part with a general map, not any details. Another concern with Argentinian official maps for download is that they have not been updated or corrected since early 2012, this is an area with offshore installations.

The Chilean map agency, http://www.shoa.cl/pagnueva/comelec.html , probably have better maps of the area I am interested in, but I am not able to extract these maps. If anybody have success with that please let me know.

If the sources I get are of compatible license with OSM/OSeaM I am willing to prepare the maps for tracing or similar.

---

I am also looking for maps to OpenCPN, at the moment Magellan Strait, I have the official Argentinian maps (latest update 2012, only large scale maps, no detailed maps available), I found some parts here: https://www.openseachart.org/doku.php/rnc but that covers mostly the western part, I am more interested in the eastern part.
