Hi from a Solent Sailor

I am an active skipper sailing mostly in the Solent.  I am interested in finding out how I can contribute in a practical way to improve the quality of OpenSeaMap in this area of the world.

Re: Hi from a Solent Sailor

The seamark data is part of the OpenStreetMap database, so to contribute to this you will need to be familiar with OSM mapping tools & tagging schemes. If you already are, then the best way to add/edit data is to use the JOSM editor, where you will find an INT-1 object preset and also a SeaMap editor plugin. Seamark tagging is documented here: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Seam … Tag_Values
