Hello,
in the List off Lights PUB. 112 / 2019 I found a light which is not present in Openstreetmap ( Coco Island 16° 48.9´ S, 59° 30.2´ E, US No. 32892, International No. D6681.6) I would like to add the light to osm but have a doubt if the beacon exists at the moment. The light is mentioned in David Burch Blog. He found information that the light is crossed out in BA chart 1881 in 2012.
Can someone give me recommendation how to deal with this situation? How to clarify if the light is back in operating mode or is the entry in LoL not correct?

Unless you can locate the Notice to Mariners for that chart that gives current status, the best approach is to map it as per List of Lights, but add the tag: seamark:status=existence_doubtful

Thanks for response. I made update and added status attribute. I have another question according to the riff around the islands.
The riff is available in osm database (https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/9575307). I had a look into IHO S-4, B-421.5. and compared the presentation with pictures from the blog and with openseamap online chart.
The openseamap presentation seems to be far away from the standard. User nautic added some nodes with attribute seamark:type=rock after discussion. I think his intension is to force the seamark renderer to add icons. What do you think about the solution? Do you have recommendations or ideas how to improve the presentation?
