Google Ocean View

Google has just released some interesting stuff on doing under water photography for some kind of under water view.

ja, das Projekt wurde mir 2009 vorgestellt, als ich Google besuchte.
Die Realisierung hat nun ziemlich lange gedauert ;-)

Little way more off topic - new bittixlinux9 now at http://bittixlinux9.sourceforge.net -includes the USA vector seacharts in latest version of Open CPN .

Thanks Mikko for pointing that out. The world is definitely moving towards vector charts. smile

OpenCPN is really a great tool, good to see them bundled with a linux distribution.

BTW: A quick googling revealed an interesting discussion thread in a forum of german speaking sailors around using Linux on a boat i.e. Linux Mint:
